Biography
Katie joined Carney Appleby Law as a law clerk in April 2013. Katie was born and raised in Monticello, Iowa, and attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While in college, Katie served on the executive boards for the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. Katie always had a passion for the law, and served as the President of the Pre-Law Society at the University, and was an avid member of the mock trial and mediation teams. Katie was honored to receive an All American Advocate Award for her performance at the National Mediation Tournament in 2011.
While attending Drake Law School, Katie served as a Drake Law Ambassador, was the Managing Editor of the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law and was awarded the Outstanding Member of the Journal.
